The Challenge
Vibe coding is having a moment.
Creators everywhere wanted to build with AI, but most coding events are built for engineers, not creators. Yuqi Hou and Hannah Zhang, podcast co-hosts and tech creators, had the audience and the credibility to teach it. What they needed was a venue and an operating partner.
For Beacons, the question was whether a co-hosted creator event could put the brand in front of exactly the right room — tech-curious creators — without spending a dollar on media.

How beacons did it
The partnership started the way the best creator relationships do: in person.
One of Beacons' founders met Yuqi at SXSW, and the event came together within weeks. Beacons provided its NYC HQ and handled event ops; Yuqi and Hannah owned the content and the audience.
The hosts ran a hands-on vibe coding session for 40+ attendees, and Hannah published recap content to TikTok afterward, extending the event's reach well beyond the room.
Creator-led distribution
Hannah's 200K+ follower audience drove most of the attendance. Full-capacity event, zero acquisition spend.
A repeatable playbook
The format worked so well Beacons productized it — running a creator vibecoding workshop at NY Tech Week two months later.
The results
One SXSW conversation became a full-capacity event at Beacons HQ, powered entirely by creator distribution. The format worked well enough that Beacons productized it — and every event seeds the next one.
40+ attendees — every seat in the office filled, standing room around the kitchen counter.
Full-capacity turnout with zero paid spend — attendance driven entirely by two creator hosts' organic reach.
A repeatable playbook — the event directly inspired Beacons' creator vibecoding workshop at NY Tech Week (June 2026), where 14 creators attended and 8 connected their inboxes to Beam.
