I did my surgery with head Dr- Dr Kim at WOOA Plastic Surgery. He has over 25 years of experience and 10k+ breast surgeries. He was also recommended to me by 2 other friends. I love Dr Kim (highly recommend!) and have been very happy with the staff and ease of processes at Wooa Clinic.

HOW LONG DO YOU NEED TO STAY IN KOREA?
Typically the minimum stay is 4 days but varies patient to patient so consult with dr is best.
I didn’t have any pain since I woke up from surgery. I took Tylenol first day and have stopped since. I’ve been able to put my hands over my head and do all of my daily activity like taking care of kids etc. I’m really surprised at how easy the recovery has been. If you’re looking to do breast augment and need something with low downtime I really think Preserve is a route to consider. Preservè is only available for first time augmentations, though.
Yes they do all of these.
I haven’t experienced this and my nipples feel the same. The incision was made under my breast fold.
I did my surgery under sleep sedation, it is not general anesthesia. With the preserve technique it is less invasive and surgery is approx 40 min.
Q. My understanding is that Preservé™ uses balloon dissection rather than conventional dissection under direct visualization. How do you ensure that the implant pockets are created accurately and symmetrically on both sides?
And what techniques do you use to prevent complications such as bottoming out or lateral displacement of the implants after surgery?
A. The natural supporting ligaments of the breast tissue serve as the final boundaries of the implant pocket. Therefore, as long as the initial position of the balloon is placed accurately, it is not particularly difficult to create symmetrical pockets on both sides.
This is something that is best understood through a good knowledge of breast anatomy. In my own practice, however, I also use an endoscope to directly visualize and confirm the pocket before inserting the final implant. This allows me to make sure that the pocket has been created accurately and that the implant will be positioned as intended.
Q. Compared with conventional breast augmentation, does the Preservé™ technique make any difference in the risk of capsular contracture?
I would also like to hear your opinion on whether Preservé™ may increase or decrease the likelihood of capsular contracture.
A. One of the advantages of the Preservé™ technique is that the procedure is very short, typically taking around 30 minutes. Because the surgery is so brief, the risk of infection is significantly reduced, which in turn can lead to a meaningful reduction in the incidence of capsular contracture.
Q. How would you compare the Preservé™ technique with traditional breast augmentation?
In particular, what do you see as the advantages and limitations of each approach? And what types of patients do you consider to be better suited for Preservé™, compared with those who may benefit more from conventional breast augmentation?
A. Preservé is a more advanced approach to breast augmentation that was developed to overcome some of the limitations associated with conventional tissue dissection. By minimizing tissue damage, it can significantly reduce postoperative discomfort, side effects, and recovery time.
However, there are limitations. If a patient wants a very large implant, the implant may need to extend beyond the boundaries of the breast's natural supporting ligaments, requiring a larger pocket to be created. In such cases, the Preservé™ technique may not be suitable.
In my view, Preservé is particularly well suited to women who have a reasonable amount of existing breast tissue and a relatively well-preserved breast pocket, and who want a natural-looking result rather than a very large increase in size, such as going up to a full D cup or beyond.
It can also be an excellent option for professional women who cannot afford a long recovery period, as well as women who are particularly sensitive to pain or have been hesitant to undergo breast augmentation because they were concerned about postoperative pain. It can be especially helpful for women who have experienced loss of upper-breast volume after childbirth and want to restore a more natural fullness with less discomfort and downtime.
