I'm Monet – Creator of The M.O.V.E.S Method. I am a wife and mother of the most awesome son. I am a passionate career educator in the public-school sector, and I absolutely love my job. However, I realized that to live the life I truly desire, I must supplement my current income.
You might be wondering why I've decided to keep my identity hidden on this platform and my social media accounts. The truth is, it's not because I'm shy or concerned about my looks. It's a strategic choice rooted in the realities of my current job and the potential backlash I could face.
I work a demanding 7 to 5 job where my employer expects me and others in my position to put in countless hours. On top of that, I drive 68 miles round trip to work five days a week so I don't have time to do a lot of prep or to get camera ready. My job is important to me, but like many others in similar positions, I realized that I needed to find an additional income stream to achieve the lifestyle I desire.
However, if my employer found out about my side hustle, there's a very real chance I believe that I could face severe backlash. This fear is something many of us who work traditional jobs can relate to. We want to improve our lives, but we also have to navigate the risks that come with having a side business.
By remaining faceless and anonymous, I can share my journey and help others without jeopardizing my primary source of income. My goal is to empower those who, like me, are striving to break free from the constraints of their 9 to 5 job and build a better future through digital and affiliate marketing.
I tried selling on Amazon, eBay, Etsy, and even dabbled in Amazon KDP. Each of these online businesses taught me valuable lessons in entrepreneurship, time management and financial freedom. I did learn some valuable insights but I quickly discovered that each of these online businesses were too time-consuming, required too much upfront and monthly investment, and didn’t offer enough return for my time and financial commitments.
In December 2023, I had a one-on-one consultation to review my future retirement plans and financial portfolio. It was a game-changer. I discovered that if I stayed on my current path, I’d have to work until I’m 67 just to receive 1/2 of my current income from social security. That’s when I knew I had to dig deeper and get serious about finding an online business model that required less time and financial commitments on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
In January, I discovered the exhilarating world of digital and affiliate marketing. I dived into extensive research and invested in the best courses and communities to help me master this business model. And guess what? This isn't a get-rich-quick scheme or a scam. 💡
