I was so excited because this was the culmination of all of my hard work.
My first day of clinicals!
Nervous but also excited
New Nurse Orientation
Yes, I was a new nurse and pregnant!
6 months out of orientation
I got floated to the PCU during Covid. This is where I wanted to quit! I felt unprepared, under-compensated, lied to about the nursing field, and tired!
Beginning of my 2nd Year
This is the year I decided I’d invested too much time and money to let the challenges of being a new nurse define me. Though I wasn’t fully confident, I made a choice: nursing was going to work for me. That decision sparked a deep passion for supporting new nurses—helping them find their way, just as I had to find mine.
I now have a passion for new nurses
Since making that decision, I’ve taken charge (literally!), become a preceptor, floated with confidence, thrived in PRN roles, boosted my income, and shaped a nursing career that works for me. Follow me — I’ll help you navigate your first year and beyond with clarity and confidence.
