Il cantautore 𝗠𝗮𝗼 firma il nuovo remix di 𝙒𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙮, brano dei 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗮 𝗩 estratto dall’album 𝙄𝙣 𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙞 𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙞, ultimo lavoro della band pubblicato da Universal Music Italia e accolto positivamente dalla critica.

La collaborazione tra i Delta V e Mao si inserisce all’interno di un rapporto artistico consolidato nel tempo, che negli anni ha trovato nuove occasioni di incontro e continuità. Nel corso del tour di presentazione di 𝘐𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘪 𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪, Mao è stato infatti artista d’apertura dei concerti della band, condividendo il palco e contribuendo a rinnovare un dialogo musicale già attivo sin dagli anni Novanta.

La relazione tra i due progetti rappresenta l’incontro tra due realtà di riferimento della scena alternativa italiana: da un lato i Delta V, riconosciuti per una ricerca sonora elegante e intimista, dall’altro Mao, cantautore e artista poliedrico tra i protagonisti della stagione d’oro di MTV e della cultura alternativa italiana tra anni Novanta e Duemila.

Il rapporto artistico affonda infatti le sue radici proprio in quel periodo, a partire dalla collaborazione nel brano 𝘓𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘢, contenuto nell’album 𝘗𝘴𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘵 della band milanese, in cui Mao firma testo e interpretazione. A questo si aggiunge la sua presenza nel videoclip de 𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘰 in una partecipazione speciale insieme ad Angela Baraldi e Garbo, che ha contribuito a consolidare un legame creativo destinato a riemergere nel tempo.

In questa nuova fase, Mao rilegge 𝘞𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘺 trasformandolo in un remix dal taglio elettronico e cinematografico, in cui la struttura originale del brano viene rielaborata in una dimensione più rarefatta e notturna, con un forte accento sulla componente evocativa del suono. Il risultato è una versione che mantiene intatta la scrittura dei Delta V ma la proietta in un paesaggio sonoro più astratto e visivo, in linea con la ricerca artistica del cantautore torinese.

Il progetto si completa con un videoclip ufficiale diretto da 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘁, regista originario di Bruxelles e basato a Montréal, girato a Tokyo, che amplifica la dimensione visiva del brano costruendo un immaginario sospeso tra urbanità, movimento e percezione emotiva.

Parallelamente, mentre i Delta V sono impegnati nel tour estivo di 𝘐𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘪 𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪, Mao prosegue il lavoro sul suo nuovo album, già anticipato in parte nel corso delle date in cui ha aperto i concerti della band.

Il remix di 𝘞𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘺, in uscita il 31 luglio 2026, è l’ultimo capitolo del progetto di reinterpretazione del disco dei Delta V e accompagna la pubblicazione, nello stesso giorno, di 𝙄𝙣 𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙞 𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙞 𝙍𝙈𝙓, una rilettura completa attraverso le interpretazioni di artisti e produttori della scena alternativa italiana, offrendo una nuova prospettiva sonora sui brani del disco.

Italian singer-songwriter 𝗠𝗮𝗼 delivers the brand new remix of 𝙒𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙮, a track by the Italian band 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗮 𝗩, taken from the album 𝙄𝙣 𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙞 𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙞, the band’s latest release, issued by Universal and warmly received by critics.

The collaboration between Delta V and Mao is part of an artistic relationship built up over time, which across the years has found new opportunities for encounter and continuity. During the tour supporting 𝘐𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘪 𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪, Mao served as the opening act at the band’s concerts, sharing the stage and helping to renew a musical dialogue that had been active since the 1990s.

The connection between the two projects marks the meeting of two landmark names on the Italian alternative scene: on one side Delta V, recognised for their elegant and intimate sonic explorations, and on the other Mao, a singer-songwriter and versatile artist among the leading figures of the golden age of MTV Italy and of Italian alternative culture between the 1990s and the 2000s.

The artistic bond indeed traces its roots back to that very period, beginning with their collaboration on the track 𝘓𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘢, featured on the Milan-based band’s album 𝘗𝘴𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘵, for which Mao wrote and performed the lyrics. To this is added his appearance in the music video for 𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘰, a special guest role alongside Angela Baraldi and Garbo, which helped to cement a creative bond destined to resurface over time.

In this new chapter, Mao reinterprets 𝘞𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘺, transforming it into a remix with an electronic, cinematic edge, in which the track’s original structure is reworked into a more rarefied, nocturnal dimension, with a strong emphasis on the evocative quality of the sound. The result is a version that leaves Delta V’s songwriting intact while projecting it into a more abstract and visual soundscape, in keeping with the artistic vision of the Turin-based singer-songwriter.

The project is rounded off by an official music video directed by 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘁, a filmmaker originally from Brussels and based in Montreal, shot in Tokyo, which amplifies the visual dimension of the track by building an imaginary world suspended between urban life, movement and emotional perception.

The remix of 𝘞𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘺, out on 31 July 2026, is the final chapter in the project reinterpreting Delta V’s latest record, and accompanies the release, on the same day, of 𝙄𝙣 𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙞 𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙞 𝙍𝙈𝙓, a complete reworking through the interpretations of artists and producers from the Italian alternative scene, offering a fresh sonic perspective on the record’s tracks.
